Las Vegas

I moved my residence to Las Vegas from New York City in 2009. Why? Because I wanted to get closer to that idyllic California weather but didn’t want to pay California prices (or taxes). The dry air makes those 115 degree summer days bearable. No mosquitos and zero humidity = heaven for me. I thought “The Strip” was all there was to Vegas and I didn’t know how I would be able to adapt to living in a city where gambling was the main attraction. Little did I know that Las Vegas is perfectly situated to between an endless number of the US’ best National Parks. I only go to “The Strip” when I want to eat at a nice restaurant, show visitors the casinos or if I fancy watching a show.
