I love the feeling of being able to have everything I need to work and play with me on my back in a 30L backpack. The freedom of being able to go (nearly) anywhere and still have your favorite, trustworthy possessions with you is a great feeling. I love gear and I love the exercise of trying to limit the total number of gear I carry with me to under 30 pieces. When I’m staying longer at a single destination and want to be more comfortable, I add on an extra 20 pieces that while heavier, make up for it by making me feel more like at home.

My gear needs to enable me to run my company remotely as well as enjoy travel and chronicle my experiences. This list is a result of countless iterations, frustrations, and trial and error! I bought all of these items on my own dime and will only review items I’ve purchased on my own.
